Sr. Software Engineer

 PB Disaster Services is seeking a .NET Software engineer at their Winchester, VA office. As a .NET Developer you will be operating on the leading edge of next generation portal development platform using Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS), Reporting Services with SQL Server 2005. This position will involve participating on small teams responsible for developing business critical Web Parts and WSS Customizations, ASP.NET web applications, WSS Master Page templates and interact with Team leads and Database administrators.

Ideal candidate for this position will have significant knowledge on the following areas:

 Skill Requirement

  • Strong analytical, problem-identification and process analysis skills with the ability to envision a solution from requirements including solid user interface design.
  • Experience in developing Object Oriented code using ASP.NET and C#.NET 2.0 with Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 with .NET framework 2.0.  (Preferred .NET Framework 3.5)
  • Experience using C#.NET with LINQ, Entity Framework and/or NHibernate
  • Experience in developing creating and fine tuning SQL statements for optimized data retrieval
  • Experience in developing custom SharePoint List definition, content types, fields, item event receivers, user control and hosting Web Parts such as SmartParts
  • Experience in creating optimized web application using ASP.NET AJAX framework with JavaScript and knowledge of using Telerik RAD Controls is preferred
  • Good knowledge of Design Patterns is required to create well designed backend and front end object models
  • Windows Services and Web Services in .NET, Script Services
  • Knowledge of Iterative development and deployment using CruiseControl.NET, NANT or MSBUILD
  • Create features in WSS and Masterpage customization in WSS

 Preferred skills

  • Experience in working on a SCRUM team
  • Lognet or Enterprise Application Block
  • JSON, object oriented JavaScript
  • LINQ, WPF and Windows Workflow Foundations
  • SQL Reporting Services
  • Experience developing applications using MS ACCESS forms to access data in Access db.
  • Windows Communication Framework
  • WSE 2.0
