Security Requirements

In accordance with DHS requirements, all independent contractors and staff must be US citizens and have favorable fingerprints on file prior to conducting any disaster inspection work. For those who have not received a fingerprint packet, these materials will be available at any of our regional practice workshops.

Tips for Completing Security Paperwork:

1. Read all instructions in your packet prior to having your prints taken. If you have any questions, please call the PB office.

2. Contact the law enforcement agency prior to going to get your prints done. Some locations only have fingerprinting services on certain days/hours. Let them know what you need done and make sure they can do it before you pay them for their services. Some agencies will not complete the I-9 form. If this is the case, you need to contact a different law enforcement agency, as the prints will not be accepted without a complete I-9 form.

3. If you are having trouble finding an agency in your area, feel free to contact PB for assistance and further direction.

Frequenty Asked Questions (FAQs) on the security process can be found under the FAQ tab. For questions not answered in this area, please contact our Call Center Team at 1-800-411-1177.
