Understanding FEMA's Specifications

Registration for our eLearning Center is managed through our Inspector Portal or at the time of inspector registration.

  • New Inspectors who register online can request access to eLearning through the confirmation page received at the conclusion of registration.
  • Inspectors who are already registered with us and do not have a current e-mail address on file, will need to request a portal login. This secure interface will ask you to enter the last four of your SSN, your inspector ID and a valid e-mail address. The e-mail address entered will be used to correspond with you in the future and will be used to send you your login information to the portal, where you can begin managing your personal information. Once you receive this information, you can log in and request access to eLearning on the first page you see upon log in.

eLearning and all PB workshops must be completed by the inspector registered for the event. You may be asked to complete a supplemental examination and hands-on exercise at the disaster field office or field practice workshop to demonstrate your understanding of the materials in these sessions. If you are not able to pass this examination, you will be asked to return home at your expense and will be ineligible for deployment opportunities.

Our eLearning System and Inspector Portal are two separate systems and use different logins (unless you changed your password to be the same for both).

Did You Know?
44 states and the District of Columbia received Presidential emergency declarations following Hurricane Katrina. This total is the most declarations made for a single disaster in FEMA history.
