Flooding Causes DR 1749

March 28, 2008

DR 1749 was declared in MO due to severe storms and flooding. Individual assistance will be provided to the following counties: Bollinger, Carter, Christian, Franklin, Greene, Iron, Jasper, Jefferson, Maries, Newton, Oregon, Phelps, Pulaski, Reynolds, St. Francois, Stone, Texas, Washington and Wayne. Additional counties may be added at a later date after further evaluation.

Did You Know?
The Great Alaskan Earthquake of 1964 was the second largest earthquake recorded in modern day history. It caused some of the streets in downtown Anchorage to sink more than 12 feet and also caused a tsunami that hit the shores of Antarctica.
